I have had a house in Tuscany (Garfanagna) for over 20 years. When we are in Firenze, this is the place we eat.Alessandro is a perfect host. The food is traditional, fresh and the quality is just amazing. The service is personal, and with unconditional love.Eating here is just so relaxing it makes you understand that there is so much life has to offer...
A cosy friendly place. We had a fantastic dinner with good wine. Friendly service. The gnocchi and the Florentine steak was fantastic. We hope to come back one day.
Had an amazing dinner here, such homey place with outstanding food. We had bistecca di Fiorentina and spaghetti aglio spaglio and both tastes so flavorful and fresh. Everyone was friendly and we got two bookmarks to take home, that's a sweet touch. Will recommend and visit!
Very cosy and friendly place!! Wonderful food, highlights: Tripes in tomatoes, and "white bacon" on bread!! …
Thank you Alessandro and il cuoco (i believe his name was Franco but may have been Roberto, which would have made sense!) for your hospitality and kindness. This was the best meal we've had in Italy. Raw swordfish, porcini mushrooms and tomato and pesto tagliatelle. Exceptional. Afterwards Alessandro gave us bookmarks and complementary digestifs (akin to Port). Such kindness had us in tears. Will never forget this experience.
The best traditional Italian food I have ever tried in my life! We had to go again to try different plates, because everything was so tasty. First night we enjoyed it so much that I didn't manage to take a photo or leave a review. Today I managed to do it and we are sad they close on Wednesday, because as our last day we wanted to go a 3rd time.Service is excellent, Alessandro and Marco are amazing, very friendly and charming. You may not speak Italian, but they'll understand you and treat you very nicely.Shout out for the chef and owner of the restaurant, Roberto, the Philippine lady and all his team from the kitchen! It was lovely to meet you all and we would come back for sure!Thank you for everything! And to everyone that are looking for a place to eat in Florence I highly recommend to go and try as many plates as you can!!!
This is the best trattoria food, vibe and service in Florence. Alessandro is the best, his dad’s tagliatelle ai funghi porcini is delicious. The polpo all’amatricciana is the best! And the ricotta cake is heaven. They made us a delicious lemon drink with acqua frizzante. We came back 3 times and will definitely be eating there again.
A place so nice!! We visited twice. I honestly was taken by surprise with Roberto. The food here was very well prepared and as close to home-cooked as it got. It did take us a little bit of time to get our food but we were okay with that because it is a family-run restaurant.Service was amazing. They checked in on us regularly and we're very friendly. The atmosphere here is so old school. You can't help but feel at home when you sit down. I highly recommend the chingali stew as it was very tasty, as well as the sausage and beans.
